ऑनर किलिंगः पाकिस्तानी बोल्ड मॉडल कंदील को भाई ने गला दबाकर मार डाला (Pakistani Kilingः lantern bold model to honor slain brother strangled)

कंदील के पिता अजीम ने पुलिस को दिये स्टेटमेंट में कहा, जिस वक्त उनकी बेटी की हत्या की गई वह घर पर ही थे। उन्होंने बताया कि कंदील का भाई वसीम और मां भी घर पर सो रहे थे। अजीम ने बताया कि जब वसीम कंदील की गला दबाकर हत्या कर रहे थे वह घर पर सो रहे थे। उसके बाद वह सीढि़यों से नीचे पहुंचे तो बेटी के शव को देखकर दंग रह गए। उन्होंने उसके बाद पुलिस को इसकी जानकारी दी।

कंदील के पारिवारिक सूत्रों से आ रही खबरों के मुताबिक भाई वसीम बार बार बहन कंदील को मॉडलिंग छोड़ने को कहा करता था। कंदील का विवादित वीडियो और फेसबुक पोस्ट चर्चाओं में आना वसीम को अच्छा नहीं लगता था। इसके कारण कई बार अज्ञात नंबरों से कंदील को धमकी भरे फोन भी आया करते थे।

पाकिस्तान की सोशल मीडिया सेंसेशन कंदील को लेकर हालिया विवाद ये उठा था कि एक टीवी चैनल पर उनके पूर्व पति ने ये कह दिया कि कंदील शादीशुदा है और एक बच्चा भी है। इसके बाद उठे विवाद को शांत करने के लिए कंदील ने बयान जारी किया कि हां मैं शादीशुदा हूं और मेरा एक बच्चा भी है।

पिछले दिनों कंदील एक मुफ्ती के साथ सेल्फी और वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर पोस्ट करने को लेकर विवादों में थी। कट्टरपंथी संगठनों ने इसकी खूब आलोचना की थी। इसके बाद मुफ्ती को भी हटा दिया गया था।

पीएम मोदी को धमकी देने वाली पाकिस्तानी बोल्ड मॉडल कंदील बलोच की मुल्तान में हत्या कर दी गई है. खबरों के मुताबिक कंदील की उनके भाई ने गला दबाकर हत्या कर दी है. कंदील का भाई उनके फेसबुक पोस्ट और विवादित वीडियोज से परेशान था. हालांकि इससे पहले कहा गया था कि कंदील की मौत गोली लगने से हुई है.

घटना के बाद से भाई फरार
पुलिस के मुताबिक शुक्रवार रात को ही कंदील की हत्या कर दी गई थी. पुलिस ने यह बताया कि कंदील की हत्या का शक उसके भाई वसीम पर है, जो कि वारदात के बाद से फरार है. जिला पुलिस प्रमुख अजहर अकरम ने बताया कि कंदील की मौत गला घोंटने से हुई है. पुलिस ने यह भी बताया कि कंदील को अपने ही परिवार से मॉडलिंग छोड़ने और सोशल मीडिया से हटने की धमकी मिली थी. कंदील का भाई पहले ही फेसबुक पोस्ट और वीडियो को लेकर उसे धमकी दे रहा था.

इंटरनेट सेंसेशन मानी जाने वाली कंदील किसी अज्ञात जगह पर रह रहीं थी. पाक अधिकारियों के मुताबिक कंदील बलोच के पूर्व पति ने दावा किया कि बलोच की हत्या कर दी गई है. इसस पहले भी बलोच ने कई बार दावा किया था कि उन्हें जान से मारने की धमकी मिल रही है, इसलिए उन्हें सुरक्षा दी जाए.

कंदील ने 15 जुलाई को अपना आखिरी फेसबुक स्टेटस डाला था. जिसमें उन्होंने लिखा था कि उन्हें भले ही कितनी बार भी हराने की कोशिश की जाए लेकिन वह एक लड़ाके की तरह जवाब देंगी. उन्होंने लिखा था कि 'कंदील बलोच वन वुमेन आर्मी है'. कंदील उन लड़कियों के लिए प्रेरणा है जिनके साथ समाज में बुरा व्यवहार किया जाता है.

Pakistani model Qandeel Baloch murdered in suspected 'honour killing'

Pakistani model and social media sensation Qandeel Baloch has been murdered, news reports said on Saturday, 16 July. She was 25.

The Express Tribune reported that Baloch's brother shot her in what is suspected to be an 'honour' killing.

However, conflicting reports have emerged — such as one by Dawn — that say she may have been strangled.Baloch — whose real name was Fouzia Azeem — had been dominating the headlines for the past week after videos of her twerking to a song were deemed objectionable.

The music video was for pop singer Aryan Khan's track 'Ban'.

Even as the row over her music video was heating up, a man claiming to be Baloch's husband stepped forward, and made several allegations against the model. Aashiq Hussain claimed that Fouzia (as Baloch was then known, had taken money from him and abandoned their son in his care) and had been married previously. Baloch had responded by saying that the marriage with Hussain had been an abusive one, and that her first marriage had taken place wen she was only 17, and without her consent.

In the meantime, another man — a Peshawar-based tailor named Shahid Baloch — told Dunya News that he too had been married to Fouzia in the past, and that the marriage had taken place without her family's permission.

After receiving threats to her life and in the midst of a personal crisis, Qandeel Baloch took off for an undisclosed location in Multan, and had said she hoped to leave Pakistan with her parents once the backlash quieted down.

Threats to her life

Baloch was seen as a divisive personality in Pakistan — where she was seen by some as bold, liberated, fearless and as vulgar, attention-seeking by others.

When she posted selfies with a leading cleric, he was dropped from his post as the head of a religious organisation.

When leaders in Pakistan declared that Valentine's Day was against Pakistani culture and warned against its celebration — she donned a red dress and posted a V-Day message for her social media followers.

In March this year, she shot to international attention when she claimed that she would strip if Pakistan won the match against team India at the T20 World Cup — prompting many to label her "India's Poonam Pandey".

While Baloch had been criticised harshly on these various occasions, she believed that there was a very real threat to her life, about three weeks ago.

Dawn reports that the model wrote to the interior minister, the director general of the Federal Investigation Authority and the senior superintendent of Islamabad asking them to provide security as she was being threatened.

No one but her family knew that she was lying low in Multan.

Police said that Baloch's brother had asked her to take down her Facebook posts and videos, and there had been friction between them on this point.

The Nike advertisement 'Da Da Ding' featuring Deepika Padukone and 10 Indian women athletes has racked in over 4 million views in less than three days. Indian footballer Jyoti Burrett, 26, who is part of this advert is surprised, "I can't believe the kind of reception we've got, My phone hasn't stopped ringing".

The advert isn't just about catchy music and stunning visuals, it aims at breaking the gender stereotype that heavy duty fitness and sports is a man's thing.

Shagun Chowdhary, a professional shooter who has made her mark in a male dominated discipline of Shotgun shooting explains, "This advert is so refreshing because it solely features Indian women athletes. A lot of our efforts don't get recognised and it's really refreshing to see Nike recognising our efforts."

Deepika Padukone, the only Bollywood star in the video, also proved to be the perfect fit for this campaign after all sports has always been a major part of her life and recently helped her fight depression.

In a post on Facebook she said, "Two years ago I struggled with depression. I was sinking. I almost gave up. But it was the athlete in me that gave me the strength to fight and never ever give up!"

The creative mind behind this campaign is an American ad agency Wieden+Kennedy who aimed to change the stereotypes associated with women in sports. Their creative director Mohd Riwan said that sports in India has a massive image problem, which needs to be rectified.

He went on to say, "We wanted to tell all girls whether you are an actress or a national level athlete or whether you are just a girl running on the streets that you are all athletes, if you can run, you are an athlete!"

The music video also aims to recreate the magic that America's 1st lady Michelle Obama created with her campaign - 'Let's move' which managed to kick-start a revolution in America to fight obesity.
